Quest Nutrition protein bars have exceptional nutritional values but not everyone likes the slightly chewy texture given by the high amount of protein and the fact that they have very few carbohydrates. But these bars, due to their particular consistency, can be used in many ways and transformed into delicious sweets with lots of protein and few calories. Here is an example for a very easy and equally delicious recipe:
Tarts with Quest protein bars
1 Quest protein bar in the flavor of your choice
1/2 serving of Soulfood Vanilla Pudding
Berries to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 160°
- Divide the Quest bar in half and place it in a small tartlet or muffin tin (adjust to size).
- Bake in the oven for about 6 minutes. Remove from the oven, wait for them not to burn and shape the melted bar so as to cover the mold in every part.
- Put back in the oven for another 6 minutes then remove and let it cool before filling with the cream that you have prepared with water (or milk as you prefer)
- Decorate with blueberries or other berries and enjoy!
A tartlet prepared in this way provides about 250kcal, less than 5g of carbohydrates and 20-21g of protein. (all indicative depends on which bar you use, etc.)
