High protein strawberry ice cream - Ostrovit

A strawberry ice cream with no added sugar, with a good dose of protein (26g per serving) and very easy to prepare. Ostrovit's strawberry protein ice cream has whey proteins as the first ingredient, therefore high quality proteins complete with all the amino acids necessary for the growth and/or maintenance of muscles. We could think of it as a protein supplement in a delicious ice cream format. The ingredients list is quite clear and not too long unlike other similar products. As mentioned, it does not contain added sugar, the sugars are those of the milk itself, unavoidable in a similar product of good quality. The carbohydrates per serving are less than 10 so it is certainly an ice cream suitable for sportsmen but also for those who follow a reduced carbohydrate diet and in general for all those looking for a fresh and delicious alternative to the usual protein supplements / bars / shakes .

Ingredients 

Whey protein concentrate (from milk), buttermilk powder, inulin, skimmed milk powder, milk protein, emulsifier: lecithins; MCT oil (70%) coconut oil powder, concentrated beetroot juice powder, flavourings, salt, thickener: xanthan gum; sweetener: sucralose.

Allergens: milk. The product may contain soy, peanuts, other nuts, sesame seeds, cereals containing gluten, eggs, crustaceans, fish.

Instructions

For 2 portions, mix 100g of the preparation with 200ml of milk or water with an electric mixer, when you have obtained a homogeneous mixture, place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours

For a better consistency, remove the ice cream from the freezer after about an hour and blend it to break up the ice crystals which will make it less creamy (if you use an ice cream machine, you don't need to do this)
