Does making jam at home seem like a difficult task to you? Try this recipe and you will change your mind. This berry jam (but you can also use just blackberries or blueberries or strawberries), as well as being very easy to make, is also super healthy because it doesn't contain sugar and thickens with chia seeds.
Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 190g of blueberries
- 190g of raspberries
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1-2 tablespoons of liquid sweetener
- 2 tablespoons of Chia seeds
Preparation:
- Put the berries in a saucepan and cook them for 5-10 minutes. When they start to fall apart, crush them with a spoon or fork and mix more or less depending on whether you like to feel the whole pieces in the jam.
- Remove from the heat and add the lemon juice (one or two tablespoons depending on the consistency you want to obtain) and the liquid sweetener (or honey). Mix well before stirring in the chia seeds. Let stand 5 minutes for it to thicken.
- Transfer the jam into a jar (very clean, please) and wait for it to cool down before putting it in the fridge.
