Chips are a snack that is really hard to give up even when trying to follow a healthy diet and these sweet potato chips can be a valid alternative to the traditional ones. The sweet potato is rich in properties and has an excellent taste and is easily transformed into a tasty and light snack.
Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 medium sweet potato
- 1 tablespoon of olive or avocado oil
- A pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a tray with parchment paper or use a silicone sheet (they are very convenient if you often cook in the oven, in the end you save on parchment paper)
- Slice the potato thinly (the best thing is to have the gadget that slices them super thin, they come out very well and it takes less effort)
- In a bowl, mix the potato slices with the oil and salt so that all the slices are seasoned.
- Arrange the slices on the baking sheet (or silicone sheet) in a single layer
- Cook for 15 minutes then turn them and cook again for 5 minutes or as long as necessary for them to become crispy (depending on how thin you cut them)
- These chips are healthy and delicious already eaten as they are, but I also like to use them as a spoon for hummus, for example, or a very simple Greek yoghurt saline, lemon juice and chives… in short, you can indulge yourself!
