Finnish natural sweetener xylitol - Santini

Xylitol is a natural sweetener with a very low glycemic index and fewer calories than sugar. This one from Santini is the finest, it comes directly from Finland where the purest "birch sugar" in the world is produced. It is in fact a sweetener naturally present in nature, especially in birch sap, which has the advantage of having the same sweetening power as sugar but fewer calories, a very low glycemic index (estimated between 8 and 13) and hinders the proliferation of bacteria responsible for caries in the oral cavity.

After erythritol, xylitol is certainly the most interesting and most used polyoil because it has characteristics that make it more easily usable also in baked goods, candy/chewing gum and even in ice cream preparations. In fact, unlike erythritol, it does not crystallize.
