Bamboo Fiber - Fit Food

Bamboo flour (or bamboo fiber) is a flour with almost zero carbohydrates (0.1g per 100g) basically made only of fibers. It has a reduced energy intake and, unknown until a few years ago, it has also become commonly used in Italy with the advent of low-carbohydrate diets such as the ketogenic diet. Bamboo flour, like other fibers, are widely used by those who follow these types of diets to reduce the carbohydrate intake of dough which without traditional flours (rich in carbohydrates) are always a bit complicated to balance. Beyond the keto friendly doughs, bamboo fiber, like other similar fibers, needs to be experimented a bit but also allows those who, for example, suffer from diabetes, to slow down the absorption of carbohydrates by lowering the glycemic index of the product finished.
