Sacher cake without sugar

The Sacher is one of the most famous cakes in the world, a must for chocolate lovers. Surely you have tasted many versions (the luckiest ones may have even tasted the original in Vienna) but this one, without sugar and with few carbohydrates, will surprise you, believe me.

Sacher cake low carb and Keto friendly version

Ingredients (for an 18cm diameter cake)

1 pack of Simply Keto Brownie Mix

60g of butter

290g of water

For the ganache

150ml of sugar-free whipping cream

100g of sugar-free dark chocolate drops

For the filling

50g of apricot jam without sugar

1 silicone cake pan of 18cm in diameter


1) Mix the mixture with the melted butter and water. Place it in an 18cm silicone cake tin and bake for 40 - 45 minutes at 170°C in a convection oven.

2) Let the cake cool down and when it is warm, cut it twice horizontally in order to have three discs. Then spread apricot jam. To do this, first spread the bottom layer of the cake with jam, then place the 2nd cake disc on top and spread it with jam too. Repeat the process with the last disc and then cover the outside of the cake as well, so that the whole cake is covered with jam on all sides. Place the cake in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours until the apricot jam has set slightly.

3) Heat the cream. Then add the chocolate chips and mix until they have melted and are well blended with the cream. Allow the ganache to cool a bit then use it to coat the top and edge of the cake.

4) Leave the Sacher cake to rest in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
